About Carmen B. Meier, MD
Dr. Carmen Meier graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed three years of Internal Medicine residency. This was followed by three years of Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She subsequently completed an advanced Endoscopy fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, where she learned advanced procedures of the pancreas and biliary system as well as other specialized techniques in the GI system. She now practices EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound), ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), ablation techniques of cancerous and precancerous lesions (EMR and Radiofrequency Ablation), as well as placement of luminal stents. She is also proficient in examination of the deep small bowel with single balloon enteroscopy. While enjoying specialty procedures, she also appreciates being able to care for general Gastroenterology and Hepatology patients.
When not at work, Dr. Meier spends time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys hiking, canoeing ,woodworking, and raising chickens.
