About Arunan S. Vamadevan, MD
Dr. Vamadevan, a board-certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist. He enjoys building long-lasting patient relationships with his patients and performing advanced endoscopic procedures. With a distinguished career, Dr. Vamadevan has held the position of Chief of Gastroenterology at Inova Alexandria Hospital and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Beyond clinical practice, he has contributed to the field through the authorship of numerous articles and book chapters focusing on advanced endoscopic techniques and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Vamadevan lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, also a physician, and his two children. He enjoys playing sports with his children, traveling, living an active lifestyle, and listening to all genres of music. He has also volunteered for national and international medical relief efforts.
Fast Track Screening Colonoscopy
Dr. Vamadevan provides a service called Fast Track Colonoscopy, which is a regular colonoscopy that does not require prior consultation before the colonoscopy procedure. Fast Track Colonoscopy saves patients time, money, and minimizes work absences for doctor visits. Fast Track is for adults 45 or older with an average risk for colorectal cancer that do not have any existing GI symptoms.
