About Beth A. Banker, APRN

Beth A. Banker, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined Gastro Health in 2012. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi national honors fraternity.

Beth developed a strong foundation in acute care nursing at Yale New Haven Hospital, INOVA Fairfax Hospital, and Virginia Hospital Center before earning her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Marymount University. Following seven successful years in primary care, she chose to specialize in gastroenterology and has been a vital part of the Gastro Health team for over a decade.

Her clinical interests include the “mind-gut connection,” pelvic floor dysfunction, infectious GI conditions, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She strives to develop a strong rapport with her patients, ensuring they feel comfortable discussing sensitive gastrointestinal issues.

Beth provides essential continuity of care for the practice by treating patients in the office and supporting our physicians in the hospital setting. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, healthy cooking, and spending time with her husband and children.
