About Jennifer K. Wu, MD
Jennifer K. Wu, MD, is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. A native of Northern Virginia, she attended the University of Virginia for both her undergraduate studies and medical school.
After spending most of her life in Virginia, Dr. Wu chose to experience a different part of the country for her post-graduate training. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Boston University and subsequently moved to the University of Pittsburgh for her Gastroenterology fellowship. After several years away, she returned to Northern Virginia to be closer to family and friends.
While English is her native language, Dr. Wu is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Her clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disorders, and esophageal conditions such as GERD and swallowing difficulties. She is also deeply committed to preventive health maintenance, specifically colorectal cancer screening.
Outside the office, Dr. Wu and her husband are self-proclaimed "foodies" who enjoy exploring new restaurants and cooking at home. A loyal Red Sox fan, she developed her love for the team while living in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood. She is also a tennis enthusiast whose dream is to attend all four Grand Slam tournaments. Most importantly, she treasures time spent with her husband and their son.
