Daniel J. Rausa, DO, FACP

Dr. Daniel Rausa was born and raised in West Nyack, NY, and completed his undergraduate studies in history and chemistry at the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!). He then returned to NY to earn his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Upon graduation from medical school, he was commissioned as a medical officer in the United States Navy. After completing his internal medicine residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, he served as a primary care doctor for Sailors, Marines, and their families.

After four years in practice as an internist, he left military service to pursue fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he was selected to serve as Chief Fellow. Prior to joining the practice, he was a gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine.

Dr. Rausa treats a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions, including reflux, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He places a strong emphasis on preventive care and early detection and is committed to delivering patient-centered, collaborative, evidence-based care to his new community.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and working to perfect the many culinary staples of his Italian heritage.
