Maria D. Hernandez, MD, MBA

Dr. Maria del Pilar Hernandez is a Board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in Miami. After completing medical school at the Universidad Del Valle, she went on to complete Residency at Brooklyn Hospital-Caledonian Hospital, where she was Chief Resident. She additionally completed a Residency in Anesthesiology from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Hernandez went on to complete two Fellowships in Infectious Disease from James J Peters VA Medical Center-Bronx and Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology from the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and her Fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Hernandez also has an MBA from the University of Miami.

Dr. Hernandez specializes in liver diseases and is a current Fellow of the American Association for Study of Liver Diseases (FAASLD).
