Melanie C. Green, MD

Melanie Green, M.D. is a board certified gastroenterologist. She completed her undergraduate education, with a concentration in physics, at Harvard University in Cambridge MA. She went on to study medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY where she developed an interest in gastroenterology. At Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN she completed her internal medicine residency, and continued her training in a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Green sees patients with a range of gastrointestinal disorders including dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), acid reflux, functional bowel disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, hereditary cancer, syndromes, and fecal incontinence.

Growing up in a working class family and going on to study at some of the highest ranked institutions in the world, Dr. Green strongly believes every patient should have access to high quality care, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or age. Empowering patients through education is an important part of her practice. She enjoys having discussions with patients and their families in the office, and giving talks at information sessions for patients in the Cincinnati area.
