Jorge Go, MD, MSc, FACG

Dr. Jorge Go completed his undergraduate and medical studies at the University of the Philippines, graduating with honors for both degrees. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Shortly thereafter, he pursued a research fellowship (VA Quality Scholars) at the Iowa City VA and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation. He subsequently completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Iowa, serving as was one of the chief fellows during his final year. He practices general gastroenterology and hepatology, with special clinical interests in gastrointestinal motility and functional bowel disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and anorectal dysfunction. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS). Outside of work, he loves to travel with his wife and two children.
