About Rohit Malik, MD

Dr. Malik completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. During that time he won awards as the best intern and resident. Then, after a brief tenure as a teacher, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama. 

Dr. Malik has extensive experience and training in all facets of gastroenterology and liver diseases, with special emphasis on procedures such as colonoscopies, endoscopies, and capsule endoscopies. 

In addition to general gastroenterology, he has interest in pancreatic biliary diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases and cancer prevention.
