About Mark E. Jonas, MD, FACG
Dr. Mark E. Jonas graduated with honors from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine and completed his Residency in the prestigious Internal Medicine Department at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His Gastroenterology Fellowship was performed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Jonas completed an additional year of Fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the extremely busy Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Jonas currently serves Jewish Hospital as its Director of Medical Education for Gastroenterology for the Residency program. Prior to moving to Cincinnati, Dr. Jonas was on the faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in both Medicine and Surgery and he managed all of the hepatic problems in the only liver transplant program for the State of Arizona.
