Gastro Health, a national leading medical group specializing in digestive and liver health, has finalized a partnership with Charlottesville Gastroenterology Associates (CGA) in Virginia. The deal is scheduled to close on September 1. This will be Gastro Health’s sixth partnership within the state since late 2019 and the first expansion into Central Virginia.
Charlottesville Gastroenterology Associates is joining with six physicians and four advanced practice providers (APPs). The practice provides quality, patient-centered medical care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of digestive diseases. The practice also offers infusion and diagnostic services, a chronic care management program, nutrition services and houses an onsite lab. In addition, this partnership includes the state-of-the-art endoscopy center, The Digestive Care Center, located on the lower level of the clinic.

This latest acquisition by Gastro Health is part of a continued national growth and expansion period in the single-specialty gastroenterology sector over the last several years. Gastro Health has a presence in seven states – Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Massachusetts – with over 375 physicians and 150 locations consisting of medical office practices, infusion centers, imaging services, and a specialty pharmacy. Additionally, Gastro Health owns and operates endoscopy centers in five of the seven states and operates pathology and anesthesia services.
