Gastro Health has opened The IR Center of Greater Cincinnati, specializing in advanced hemorrhoid treatment. Located in Cincinnati, OH, the facility includes both a doctor’s office and a surgery center, where an interventional radiologist performs hemorrhoid embolization procedures. The IR Center of Greater Cincinnati was opened in partnership with The Urology Group and Radiology Associates of Northern Kentucky.

Hemorrhoid embolization is an interventional radiology treatment for internal hemorrhoids that offers long-lasting relief from rectal bleeding. Hemorrhoids form when abnormal connections are made between arteries and veins in the rectum. Embolization works by blocking these abnormal blood vessel connections, which eliminates the bleeding.

“We are excited to offer this new advanced treatment for hemorrhoids for our community,” said Pradeep Bekal, MD, FACG, FASGE, Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Gastro Health Ohio. “Hemorrhoidal artery coil embolization is a painless technique and allows patients to return home the same day and be back to work the following day in most circumstances. It’s a great option for those suffering from internal hemorrhoids of grade one, two or three.”

The IR Center will treat patients from the Greater Cincinnati area at 4746 Montgomery Road, Suite 201, Norwood, Ohio 45212. To schedule a consultation, call 513-751-6667.
