About E. Christian Noguera, MD
Dr. Noguera was born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina where he attended medical school at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. Founded in 1613, it is the second oldest university of the Americas. He moved to the United States in 1994 to complete a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Raphael Hospital at Yale University in 2000, and his gastroenterology and liver disease fellowship at the combined Georgetown University, Veterans Administration Hospital and National Institute of Health program in 2003. Dr. Noguera joined the Gastroenterology Group in 2003. The Gastroenterology Group joined Gastro Health on September 1, 2021.
His professional interests include colorectal cancer screening, esophageal disorders, liver disease, interventional, therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound for staging of gastrointestinal cancers. He is bilingual in Spanish and lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and their five children. He enjoys many sports, and in addition to playing in an adult soccer league, he coaches his son’s soccer team.
