About Emil F. Valle, MD

Dr. Valle is a native of Long Island, New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in New York and completed his medical degree at the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and his fellowship training in gastroenterology and liver disease at the University of Virginia in 2001. Dr. Valle joined The Gastroenterology Group in 2005. The Gastroenterology Group joined Gastro Health on September 1, 2021.

Dr. Valle has particular interest and experience in treating Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has received advanced training in the use of Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy to evaluate and diagnose disorders of the small intestine such as Crohn’s disease and Celiac disease. Dr. Valle’s others interests include colorectal cancer screening, gastro esophageal reflux disease, liver disease, and treatment of Irritable Bowel syndrome. Dr. Valle performs both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing soccer and coaching his children’s soccer and baseball teams. He has been listed as a top physician in The Washingtonian and Arlington Magazine.
