Gastro Health, a national leading medical group specializing in digestive and liver health, has signed a definitive agreement to partner with Digestive Disorders Associates based in Annapolis, Maryland. The deal is scheduled to close on July 1.Digestive Disorders Associates is joining with six physicians and three advanced practice providers (APPs). The practice has three office locations in Annapolis, Chester, and Gambrills. The physicians perform procedures at Maryland Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endo Center, which is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
Digestive Disorders Associates has extensive experience in treating a variety of gastrointestinal and digestive disorders with a personalized approach for each patient and offers a Same Day Clinic option for those experiencing urgent GI symptoms. The practice also manages anesthesia, pathology, and infusion treatment services. The physicians and team work to provide the Annapolis area and the surrounding communities with pioneering medical treatment options through ongoing clinical trials as part of their research division.

This latest acquisition by Gastro Health is part of a continued national growth and expansion period in the single-specialty gastroenterology sector over the last three years. Gastro Health has a presence in seven states – Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Massachusetts – with over 145 locations and 370 physicians consisting of medical office practices, infusion centers, imaging services, and a specialty pharmacy. Additionally, Gastro Health owns and operates endoscopy centers in five of the seven states and operates pathology and anesthesia services.
