Gastro Health, a national leading medical group specializing in digestive and liver health, has finalized a partnership with M. H. Razavi, MD, and the Endoscopy & Digestive Center of Woodbridge in Northern Virginia. This marks Gastro Health's seventh partnership in the state. With this addition, the state of Virginia will now have a total of 13 office locations and 9 endoscopy centers.
Dr. Razavi has been delivering exceptional care to the community for over three decades. He has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" by both Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washingtonian. The agreement encompasses his endoscopy center, the Endoscopy & Digestive Center of Woodbridge, where he performs colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. This facility provides additional convenience to patients, situated under the same roof as his office.
"We're thrilled to collaborate with Dr. Razavi and extend our presence within the Northern Virginia market," said Joseph Garcia, CEO of Gastro Health. "His patient care philosophy aligns seamlessly with our mission and is a great complement to our team."
"While exploring options to improve my practice, I realized that partnering with Gastro Health, a reputable leader in the GI field, would not only help me to reach my goals but also enhance and elevate the healthcare experience for my patients,” explained Dr. Razavi.
This most recent acquisition by Gastro Health is part of a continued national growth and expansion period in the single-specialty gastroenterology sector over the last several years. Gastro Health has a presence in seven states – Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Massachusetts – with over 400 physicians and 150 locations consisting of medical offices, infusion centers, imaging services, and a specialty pharmacy. Additionally, Gastro Health owns and operates endoscopy centers in five of the seven states and operates pathology and anesthesia services.
