Dr. Petersile’s goal is for his patients to understand their disease, what triggers symptoms and the different management options. This allows Dr. Petersile and his patients to work together and choose the best treatment course for each patient in a shared decision making process.

About Matthew J. Petersile, MD

Dr. Petersile obtained his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Petersile completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where he was selected as the Chief Gastroenterology Fellow during his final year of training. Dr. Petersile's interests include crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, liver diseases, and colon cancer. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing board games, spending time with his family, and giving lots of attention to his golden retriever.
