About Iris H. Lee, MD

Dr. Lee is a native of the DC Metropolitan area and received her undergraduate pre-medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She briefly left the region to complete her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. She was subsequently happy to return for fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland. During her time there, she was recognized as Fellow Teacher of the Year for her efforts in teaching medical students, residents, and junior fellows. The last year of her training was focused on her passion for pancreatobiliary diseases and advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, cholangioscopy, EUS, endoscopic mucosal resection, luminal stenting, and balloon enteroscopy. She has a particular interest in helping to treat GI oncology patients.

Dr. Lee is also fluent in Korean.
